The process of reconstruction, implemented owing to various donors, includes 60 public buildings (some of them are funded by several donors).
So far, 40 buildings have been reconstructed (9 kindergartens, 15 primary schools, 8 secondary schools, 4 health and 1 cultural centres, and also three multi-purpose facilities). The reconstruction of 20 more buildings is underway (1 kindergarten, 2 primary schools, 5 secondary schools, 6 health and 4 cultural centres, and also two multi-purpose facilities), namely:
The funds to reconstruct 21 public buildings in Obrenovac, Šabac, Trstenik, Ljubovija, Paraćin and Svilajnac have been secured solely by the EU, in cooperation with the Office. As a part of the donation, the schools have also been equipped, mainly with furniture. The approximate value of the investment is 2 million Euros.
A four million Euro donation of the Norwegian Government is currently funding the reconstruction and outfitting of 25 public buildings.
Other donors – Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac, Novak Đoković Foundation, B92 Fund and French foundations are financing reconstruction of 19 public buildings.
The schools and kindergartens will also be equipped mainly with furniture as a part of the donation. The approximate value of the investment is 2 million Euros. A four million Euro Norwegian Government donation currently funds the reconstruction and equipping of 35 schools, kindergartens and health, cultural and sports facilities.
